marshlander by Resha-Murdock marshlander by Resha-Murdock
Marshlands/swamps are fun (though not when they spew up nasty poison sludge at night...) so I figured I'd make an alien for it...

I suppose the larger their rain hood/back of head is determines their beauty. And the amount of decorations they carry says something about their status in the world...
Females tend to prefer these ribbony-tassled things on their backs. 8D They live in little igloo like things out in the flat lands, but tend to dig out warren-type homes in the rockfaces~ kind of like hobbits...... >.>;

Smaller animals tend to hitch rides on them or shelter under their hoods in the rain. They keep their young'uns there too till they're old enough to see (born blind y'see...). They inhabit the same world as the Thuludons (Thulu's tend to live in the forested areas...)

I think thats about it for them maybe. Other than their history has never been written down, always passed down verbally by the oldest in their settlements. You get to learn them off by heart cus you get told them so often. Especially at birthdays T___T;;

Come to think of it, they look related to Asparagons... *RAMBLE*

I need to buy me some curtains... *so damn'd cold XD;;*

wonder how long their umbrella hood things can get, because that looks pretty long within itself...O_o
but interesting information following. Almost makes for a good breeding type of critter...if only their beauty didn't get in the way...T_T

Very cool idea both visually and mentally. The only thing that really bothers me is, how would they be able to walk around in the marshes and such, especially with such big claws that would tear up the surface root system of marsh grasses, leading to the destruction of the natural cycle of decay and creating a huge mudpit in the process. I was just in a marsh last week, and the majority of the torn terrain wasn't strong enough for the average person to stand on without sinking in.

Actually, I think the real problem is that I'm just over-analyzing this waaayyy too much. ^^;
